Motorcycle parking in Newcastle upon Tyne
132 car parks that take bikes, and a council map that filters for bike bays. Newcastle city centre is compact and steep down to the Quayside, with the Tyne bridges funnelling everything across the river. The council had a motorcycle parking page and it has gone, so there is less to tell you here than there should be.

What the council says
Nothing we can verify. Newcastle upon Tyne does not publish a motorcycle parking position we have been able to find and confirm, so this page does not claim one. That is not the same as parking being free: it means the sign at the bay is the only thing that settles it, and you should read it before you walk away.
Where a council does publish a position we quote it, as on Nottingham and Manchester, which happen to say opposite things.
Newcastle used to publish a motorcycle page and it no longer resolves. What the council does still offer is a car park map you can filter to the ones with motorcycle bays, which is the next best thing: the council's own car park finder.

Car parks that take bikes
We hold 132 car parks in Newcastle upon Tyne, and a car park always takes a motorcycle, which is the usual answer when there is no bay near where you are going.
The price shown on a car park is the car tariff. That is what the operator publishes, and it is almost never what a motorcycle pays. Plenty of councils let bikes park free in a designated area, some charge a flat daily rate, and some have a separate bike cage. We have not been able to confirm what Newcastle upon Tyne charges a motorcycle, so check before you pay.

Newcastle upon Tyne publishes no motorcycle position we have been able to confirm, so nothing on this page states one. Bay locations outside London are mapped from OpenStreetMap, which is contributed by volunteers rather than published by the council, so treat counts as a guide. Always follow the sign at the bay.
