Terms of Service

Last updated: 16 July 2026

These Terms govern your use of the SoloBay website and app (the "Service"), provided by SoloBay ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What SoloBay is

SoloBay helps you find motorbike parking bays, navigate to them, see bay information, and (where available) pay and set reminders. Bay locations, availability, pricing, and rules are provided for convenience and may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate.

Important, parking is your responsibility. Always follow the signs and markings on the ground and comply with local regulations. SoloBay does not guarantee a bay is available, free, legal for your vehicle, or correctly described, and we are not responsible for any parking fines, penalty charge notices, clamping, towing, or other losses. Never use the app while riding.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract (at least 13, and the age of digital consent in your country).

3. Free version, ads & Pro subscription

  • The free version is supported by advertising. You may be shown banner ads and optional rewarded ads.
  • SoloBay Pro is an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks premium features and removes ads. Price and billing period are shown in the app before you buy.
  • Subscriptions are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel anytime in your store account settings.
  • Free trials (where offered) convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends. Refunds are handled by Apple/Google under their policies.

4. User submissions

If you submit a bay suggestion, photo, or other content, you confirm you have the right to share it and you grant us a licence to use it to operate and improve the Service (for example, verifying and adding the bay). Don't submit anything unlawful, infringing, or that contains other people's personal data without their consent. We may review, edit, or remove submissions.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including reverse-engineering it, scraping data, interfering with its operation, using it unlawfully, or clicking or generating fake ad interactions.

6. Third-party services

The Service uses third-party providers including Google Maps Platform, Street View, Firebase, and AdMob, and OpenStreetMap. Your use may be subject to their terms, and we're not responsible for third-party services.

7. Intellectual property

SoloBay, its branding, and its software are owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service. All third-party marks belong to their owners.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for parking penalties or losses arising from reliance on bay information. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence). Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

9. Changes & termination

We may update the Service or these Terms; we'll post changes here with a new date. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms. You can stop using the Service at any time.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales (this does not remove consumer-protection rights available to you locally).

11. Contact

Note for SoloBay: insert your registered legal entity name/address, confirm the contact email, and have a solicitor review before publishing, this is a solid starting template, not legal advice.
