Motorcycle parking in Camden

Camden started charging for its solo motorcycle bays on 10 February 2026. Before that they were free. There are 360 bays on our map, around Camden Town, King's Cross, Bloomsbury, Fitzrovia, Kentish Town and Mornington Crescent.

Camden does not add a convenience fee. Optional reminder texts cost extra.

How do you pay?

Through RingGo only, using the details on the sign next to the bay. Nothing goes on the bike, because wardens check by number plate. SoloBay shows the RingGo number for each bay and opens the RingGo app with it.

When do you have to pay?

During the controlled hours on the plate beside the bay. They vary from street to street, so read the plate. Parking is free on bank and public holidays, unless other restrictions apply. Do not stay longer than the maximum stay shown on the sign.

Who parks free?

Holders of a valid Camden resident, business or doctor motorcycle permit park free in the solo motorcycle bays inside controlled zones. Visitor permits and business short stay permits are also accepted.

Did the charges take bays away?

No. Camden said the charges apply within the existing bays and do not reduce the number of spaces.
