Timings

Meet from 11.30am so there is time for a coffee and to get the toys sorted. We leave at 12.30pm at the latest, and the group will not wait past it, so if you are running late, ride over and meet us at the handover.

TimeWhat happens
From 11.30amMeet at Kingsley Cafe. Park up, grab a coffee, get the toys out.
By middayEverybody there and the toys loaded.
12.30pm at the latestAway. We do not wait past this one.

Where the toys go

Two drop-offs on this one, two different charities, and between them there is no limit on what the ride can carry. Bring what you can and we will get it to whichever of them needs it.

Oxford Children's Hospital

Their charity hub is on site at the John Radcliffe Hospital, OX3 9DU, just inside the Children's Hospital entrance. The hub is staffed 9am to 3pm, and our slot is 10am to 2pm, which is why we leave Eynsham at 12.30pm at the latest. Their own directions page is better than anything we would write, so use that to find it.

They have asked for around 100 toys, which is a storage and allocation thing at their end rather than a limit on you. Bring whatever you can carry. Anything past their number goes straight to Oxfordshire Toy Bank, so nothing is ever turned away and you do not need to think about it.

Oxfordshire Toy Bank

Handover at South Moreton Boxing Club, OX11 9FD. No cap on this one, and it takes the overflow from the hospital drop-off as well as its own share.

What to bring

New toys in their original packaging, for ages 0 to 18.

Most wanted

Anything on this list is what they have asked for specifically, so it is the most useful thing you can carry.

Dropping a toy off instead

Toys can be dropped at Kingsley Café from mid-November until Thursday 10 December 2026. Hand it to the staff and it goes in the pile. If you are at the café for a Friday bike night between now and then, that is the easiest time to do it, and the form asks whether you are planning to be.

Other ways to help

Solo Bay does not handle any money. There are no collection tins and nothing goes through us. Donations go straight to the charity through its own JustGiving page, and the toys go straight to the people handing them out.

Ride with us

Sign up and we will email you everything you need before the day. It takes about two minutes and you do not need an account.

Sign up for the Oxfordshire leg

Sign up whenever you like, including on the day. Gifts, though, need to be with us by Monday 14 December 2026, so there is time to count them, check them against the rules and sort them between the two drop-offs.

Anything that changes at short notice, weather, ice, or a muster point the council moves, goes out by email to everyone signed up and on Instagram and TikTok. Worth a follow before the day if you are coming.

Riding both? Fill the form in twice, once for each leg. By signing up you agree to the terms of attendance.

Where to put the bike

Kingsley Café has its own parking, so the start is straightforward. SoloBay is free if you want to check what is around the other end, or anywhere you stop on the way.
